Sunglint on the Alabama Stream

.In this June 26, 2023, photo drawn from the International Spaceport station, sunlight shines off the soft waters of the Alabama River in a phenomenon called sunglint. When capturing The planet, astronauts typically benefit from sunglint's inclination to increase the comparison between water surface areas and surrounding property surfaces.In the 1960s, the Alabama Stream was actually repressed, creating Dannelly Storage tank (the sizable polishing area at facility left). Building and construction of the dam additionally brought up water table upriver. This resulted in flooding at a number of factors along the stream. These flooded zones are typical of floodplains-- the poor, standard locations promptly beside much larger waterways.
